Well what a wonderful conference we had at Lake Blackshear. We had 62 members present for the conference and 32 of those were new members. Based on the evaluations that were turned in the members were very satisfied with the training that was provided.
The resort was just beautiful and the staff was wonderful. Everything ran smoothly and several people said that they plan to take their family to the resort in the future.
Edmund and Associates sent their representative, Randy Perry, to the conference as a vendor. He gave a presentation at the end of the day on Monday in which their software product was featured. As it turns out there seem to be several agencies that are seeking new software.
We are now in the process of planning the fall conference. We will be at Brasstown Valley Resort in Hiawassee and the training dates will be on October 22nd and 23rd. We already have a block of rooms reserved for the conference at a rate of $129.00 per night, when you reserve your room please make sure to tell them you are with the GABTO conference. The conference fee will be $100.00 which will cover training materials and other fees that we will incur at the resort.
